Salvetat (La Salvetat) is a sparkling natural mineral water from La Salvetat-sur-Agoût in the Hérault department of Occitanie, southern France. The Rieumajou spring has been in use since 1846, initially associated with a thermal establishment. The source was later acquired by SA des Eaux Minérales d’Évian and rebranded as La Salvetat when it entered mainstream retail in 1992. It is now owned by Danone.

Mineral character

Salvetat is strongly mineralised for a sparkling water. Calcium is 253 mg/L, magnesium 11 mg/L, sodium 7 mg/L, sulphate 25 mg/L, chloride 4 mg/L, and bicarbonate 820 mg/L. Hardness is 677 mg/L as CaCO₃. The defining characteristics are the combination of very high calcium with very low sodium at 7 mg/L. Chloride at 4 mg/L is the lowest measured ion in the profile.
