Olden

StillOlden, Norway

Olden is a Norwegian spring water bottled at the village of Olden in Stryn municipality, Vestland, on the shore of Nordfjord. The water originates as precipitation on the Briksdalsbreen glacier — a tongue of the Jostedalsbreen, the largest glacier in mainland Europe — and emerges via natural springs in the valley. The brand is owned by Coca-Cola Norway.

Mineral character

The profile is substantially incomplete in the TWD database. Available figures show calcium 0.2 mg/L and magnesium 0.84 mg/L; sodium, sulphate, chloride, and bicarbonate are not recorded. The database notes field records hardness as approximately 14 mg/L as CaCO₃, indicating an ultra-soft water consistent with glacial meltwater in crystalline Norwegian geology.
